Blayne Ledger

LLB. Dip Disp Res. LLM. Dip Leg Prac. Dip Tax

Blayne Ledger graduated from a Bachelor of Laws in 1995 and completed the degree in less than three years instead of the normal four years.

Blayne is not the common lawyer with just a law degree. Blayne has always sought to distinguish himself from other lawyers. To do so Blayne has acquired more University Degrees and Qualifications than most University Professors currently teaching law, let alone other practicing solicitors.

Blayne obtained these qualifications so as to pass on the benefit of the extra knowledge to his clients thereby ensuring clients receive a high standard of advice.

The further legal qualifications which account for the numerous letters after Blayne's name include:

  • Master of Laws (Commercial & Corporate Law) 1996 - 1997
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Dispute Resolution 1996
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice 1997
  • Graduate Diploma in Taxation Law 1999

Besides the above qualifications Blayne has been Practicing Law since 1996 when he commenced his employment at the Surfers Paradise office of a Law Firm which also had offices at Brisbane and Mt Gravatt.

At the firm Blayne mainly serviced the needs of the Firm's largest client in acting in and conducting, commercial litigation, property transactions including property leasing, conveyancing of commercial and prestigious residential properties, and also in the establishment and purchase, and sale of retail stores, and providing other general commercial advice.

In 1998 Blayne resigned from the Surfers Paradise firm and became part owner of the newly established firm Ledger & Nguyen Lawyers.

In January 2002 Blayne elected to dissolve the partnership and thus in March 2002 the partnership dissolved whereby Blayne became the sole principal of the firm Ledger & Nguyen Lawyers which is known as Ledger Commercial & Property Lawyers.

Besides the above, Blayne holds and has held seats on a number of boards including The Surfers Paradise Australian Rules Junior Football Club Inc, is currently Vice President of the Gold Coast Junior Chamber of Commerce Inc, and is past president of the Gold Coast Junior Chamber of Commerce for the years 2000 and 2001 in which the club was resurrected financially.
